In 2021 Darrell Martin and Brian Spitulnik joined the practice as clinical social work students doing their graduate internships from New York University and The Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College respectively. Both of them have a performing arts background and are making career transitions into the field of social work and psychotherapy. Their internships gave them experience in working with a range of clients and presenting problems in individual, couples and group counseling. They brought intelligence, skill, knowledge, respect, appreciation, enthusiasm, drive, energy and joy to their work. Upon graduation in the Spring of 2022, they became Licensed Masters in Social Work 'LMSW's". They are currently working full time in the practice to complete their clinical hours. Additionally, as a team we have worked collaboratively to develop ARTISTS REIMAGINING THERAPY & SYSTEMS 'ARTS'. This program is expanding and providing resources and making services more accessible for artists and art-workers by expanding mental health services and care to a more diverse community.

Darrell Martin

As a proud Afro-Hispanic gay man, I am fortunate to work with individuals from all gender identities, sexual orientations, religions, and ethnicities.  Individuals who gravitate towards me tend to have complex histories.  Maybe you micromanage yourself, frequently strive for the approval of others or have a fear of never being good enough.  In our work together, I will support you in creating a safe and forgiving sense of self every step of the way. I have a Master’s degree from New York University and an undergraduate degree in Entrepreneurial Diversity Studies & The Psychology of Intersectionality from The City University of New York.
